To quote the poor, soon-to-be-dead serf in Monty Python's The Holy Grail. But I have been busy on a couple long-form writing projects the past month or so, and as a result have been somewhat neglectful of the blog. Unfortunately, that's a trend that will probably continue for at least the next few weeks. But I'll be back.
Eh, not like there's a helluva lot going on, anyway...
I'm okay with that as long as you tell us about the long form projects when they come out. I enjoy your writing and would like to see more of it. I've been checking your blog every few days and coming away disappointed there's not more to read. Kind of like my dog now that bird season is over, I guess.

True enough, Neil. Technically, it's always hunting season here in TX... but even so, it seems like the outdoors/hunting writing dries up this time of year. Spring fever, maybe, or cabin fever (depending on where you live)... but everyplace that is NOT a computer desk seems like a better place to be.
